  I thought for the money the pies these pies would be exceptional - sorry they just were not, combined with the surly service cannot recommend. You are clearly viewed as a cash cow. Over priced, over promoted.

  Second time in two years. In fact, we specifically drove to Lochinver from Kylesku just to get a pie from the Lochinver Larder! Yes, it's that good. I personally prefer their more traditional pies such as steak and ale, but they have more adventurous flavors as well. Seriously, best pies we've ever had and we've had a lot.

  My expectations were high, and I wasn't disappointed. On our first visit, we picked up pies for dinner at our apartment. The venison and cranberry was superb.
  
  The second visit was following a swift walk-out from the Caberfeidh, next door, which was simply terrible. Luckily, we made it in time for dinner. I had the minced pork, manchego and chorizo pied with creamy mash and a generous portion of delicious gravy. My wife had the stroganoff, which I sampled and was equally delicious.
  
  Food quality was excellent, and the portions were ample. I would say that it was a bit pricey, but that seems to be in keeping with the area.
  
  The staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. I would definitely go back, and I would recommend the Larder to friends.
